PR Committee
The industry's voice in public: Ukraine is not a 'cheap outsourcing country' but a product technology nation.
IT is Ukraine's second-largest export industry: a $7.85 billion market, 41.6% of all service exports, over half a billion dollars in monthly foreign-currency revenue even in wartime. Yet the world still often sees us as a 'back office of cheap hours'. The committee's mission is to change that lens: to present Ukraine as a country of home-grown products, engineering schools and companies that compete on quality, not hourly rates.
Every dollar earned in IT creates another $1.09 in adjacent sectors, and one specialist supports 2.29 jobs in finance, logistics and education. These numbers are the industry's main argument in its dialogue with society and the state: a sector that pays $1.2 billion in taxes and sustains 800,000 jobs deserves stable rules — not the role of donor for the next rate hike. Telling that story consistently is how statistics become public support.
What we change in communication
Four areas where the public word works for the economy.
The product-Ukraine brand
We systematically tell the stories of Ukrainian products and R&D — so that 'Made in Ukraine' in software reads as a mark of quality, not of discount.
Industry numbers in circulation
We turn export, tax and employment statistics into clear arguments for media, parliament and society.
Reputation defence in crises
A coordinated industry response to information attacks, phishing campaigns against Ukrainian brands and bad-faith publications.
Presence on global stages
Ukrainian booths, speakers and case studies at international conferences — from Berlin to London.
Daily work
Media support for Association positions
Every regulatory position must be heard: we prepare releases, comments and expert columns from member companies.
Member content
The Association's newsfeed systematically covers member achievements — from Berlin exhibitions to new AI features in products.
Internal industry communication
We keep members aware of regulatory risks and opportunities before the media writes about them.
How we work
Facts, not pathos
We communicate with numbers and cases: audiences are tired of slogans but trust calculations.
Experts instead of press offices
The industry's voice is the practitioners of member companies — engineers and executives, not anonymous 'representatives'.
Speed
In crisis communication an hour of silence costs more than an unpolished comment.
Current initiatives
Ecosystem digest
The Association's editorial team runs a feed of member materials with clear attribution — a single window into product Ukraine.
Industry numbers marathon
Regular publication of key IT export and employment indicators — so the industry's arguments are always at hand.
Countering brand phishing
Public warnings about attacks on member brands — like the fake Medoc sites — and user education.
